We preserve the tradition by encouraging families to consider and write down their personal commitment(s) during this holy time of year. Our hope is to foster spiritual connection, reflection, and growth within families. Our goal is not only to educate youth about the significance of Lent but also to make it engaging and purposeful. By embracing this tradition, we aim to inspire simple acts of kindness, and a deeper connection to faith, ensuring that the backpack-filled promises become a gentle reminder for all who seek a meaningful Lenten journey that draws them closer to God.
